The tools you use for every repair
The opening tutorial teaches the same three-step pattern you will repeat hundreds of times. First you exit the vehicle and click the hood to open the engine bay. Then you equip the notebook, which lists the car's parts with a health reading and the overall condition percentage. Finally you equip the wrench and click a part to pull it out, then click and drag it to the station that fixes it.
| Part | Station | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Radiator | Sink | Drag the radiator to the sink, then hold left click and move left and right to scrub it clean. |
| Battery | Battery charger | Drag the blue clamp to its terminal, then the red clamp, and wait for the charge to finish. |
| Engine parts (for example a cylinder head) | Grinding machine | Place the part and work it until its health is restored. |
| Transmission | Grinding machine | Same as engine parts; first-session players often miss it because it sits lower in the bay. |
| Exhaust and some metal parts | Grinder or welding bench | Some parts are welded; when stations are free you can work several at once. |
| Tires and rims | Tire Zone (separate shop) | Covered in the wheels and tires guide. |
When a part is fixed, carry it back to the car and press F (on PC) to place it. Re-check the notebook after each part. If a part disappears from your hands, look in your inventory before buying a replacement.
A step-by-step repair order that saves time
- Buy a car in a junkyard and drive it to Nando's. Follow the GPS marker if you are new.
- Park on a free lift. If every lift is busy, you can wait or use a quieter server; stations are shared with other players.
- Exit, open the hood and equip the notebook. Note which parts are lowest and which ones the car actually has (some rear-engine cars have no radiator).
- Start the slowest job first: put the battery on the charger so it charges while you work on other parts.
- Pull the radiator and clean it at the sink.
- Pull the engine, transmission and exhaust parts that need work and run them through the grinder or welding bench.
- Reinstall every part you removed, including the battery from the charger.
- Check the notebook one last time, close the hood, and drive to the paint shop.
Charging the battery first is the one habit that saves the most time per car. The charger needs a short wait, and you can scrub the radiator and grind engine parts during that wait instead of standing next to it.
How far should you repair before selling?
A popular money walkthrough recommends taking cars to roughly 85–90% condition at Nando's and describes that as about the most Nando's gets you on its own. Creators also show cars at 100% after full work including wheels and paint, so higher condition is possible, but each extra percent costs time.
| Your goal | Suggested depth | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Fast flips for Cash | Fix the damaged parts listed in the notebook, then paint | Paint and core repairs move the offer most; extras eat time. |
| Maximum sale price | Repairs, paint, and fresh wheels from Tire Zone | Rusty rims hold back the offer; one guide says new rims add a little value. |
| A car you will keep | Everything to full health before tuning | Tuning and engine swaps work best on a fully repaired car. |
Do not skip paint. Every money guide we checked lists skipping the paint shop as a common reason for a low offer. Head to the paint and customization guide once the mechanical work is done, then compare buyers in the selling guide.
Repairing at home: garages and the Portable Jack
Bigger garages come with their own lifts and workstations (the specialist garage has four lifts in a creator's walkthrough), which makes working on cars you keep more comfortable. See the garages guide.
The Portable Jack game pass (199 Robux in the Store on October 5, 2026) lets you lift a car anywhere, mainly to swap wheels away from Tire Zone. When a creator tested it in August, wheel removal did not work yet and they treated it as a bug, so check recent videos before buying. It is a convenience, not a requirement.
Troubleshooting common repair problems
- The car will not drive after repairs. A removed part may not be back in the car. Open the notebook and look for anything missing, especially the battery or transmission.
- You cannot find the radiator. Some rear-engine cars do not have one. If the notebook does not list it, there is nothing to fix.
- All stations are taken. Stations are shared. Wait for a free one or join a less busy server.
- Your offer is still low after repairs. Check paint and wheels; rust and rotten rims pull the price down.
- Avoid macros and exploits. Money guides warn that macroing and exploits can lead to a ban. Repairs are quick once you know the order.
