- When did Junk Mechanics come out? The Roblox experience was created on March 12, 2026. Video coverage picked up in late July 2026.
- What platforms can I play on? Roblox lists Desktop, Mobile and Console.
- How many players per server? Up to 12.
- How popular is it? Roblox showed about 53.3 million visits and roughly 118,700 favourites on October 5, 2026.
- Is there an official wiki, Discord or Trello? A Discord server listing describes itself as the official Junk Mechanics community, and a YouTube channel named Junk Mechanics posts the update trailers. We have not found an official Trello; see our Trello page for details. This site is an unofficial fan guide.
Codes and free rewards
- What are the current codes? On October 4, 2026 Game Rant listed BIDS! as working and the older codes as expired. Some trackers still list a few older codes; we mark those as mixed on the codes page.
- Where do I redeem codes? Open the shop menu and use the codes box. Pocket Tactics notes you may need to sell your first car to Juan before the box appears.
- Why does my code not work? Codes are case-sensitive and expire. Type punctuation exactly, including the exclamation mark in BIDS!.
- How do I get free auction keys? From codes and from daily tasks and weekly quests. See the auctions guide.
Money, cars and tiers
- What is the fastest way to make money? Flip junkyard cars: buy, repair to about 85–90% at Nando's, paint, and sell to Juan. See the money guide.
- Who should I sell to? Juan for most cars; Mr. Lupin for Tier 4 and 5 only. Avoid Rick's quick sell for finished cars. See the selling guide.
- What are tiers? A rarity scale from Tier 1 to Tier 5. See the tier list.
- How do I get a Tier 5? The higher junkyards and premium auctions give the best chances. See how to get Tier 5.
- What are the best engines? Car Zone sells the engines; the V10 arrived August 16 and new engines come with updates. See engines and turbos.
- How do I tune a car? Use the tuning shop added August 30. See the tuning guide.
- How many garages can I own? You keep every garage you buy; new cars go into your best one with space. See the garages guide.
Auctions, Cars & Bids and the Store
- Are auctions worth it? Not as income. The game warns they are not meant to be profitable. Use free keys and set a budget.
- What is Cars & Bids? Added October 3, 2026: hourly player-versus-player bidding on a car at the luxury dealership.
- Which game pass is best? If you flip a lot, VIP (399 Robux, +10% on sales and driving). See game passes.
- Are there limited cars? Two in the Store: Cobra RT500 (399 Robux) and Bull Pursuit Hellhack (799 Robux). See limited cars.
- Can I trade cars? Not when we checked. Any trade offer is not real.
Updates and events
- How often does it update? The game page says weekly updates, and recent updates landed on September 20, September 26 and October 3, 2026.
- When is the Halloween update? Roblox lists a "Halloween Update" event from October 10 to October 13, 2026 (US times). Contents had not been officially detailed when we checked.
- What was in the last update? The October 3 update added Cars & Bids, new vehicles and auction changes. See updates.
