Cash auctions versus premium auctions
The auction area has two kinds of auction. Cash auctions are paid with the Cash you earn from flipping. Premium auctions cannot be opened with Cash; they need Premium Auction Keys. Both can pay out Cash or a car, and both are random. You will also meet Rick here, who offers to quick-buy your car. His offer is reported to be well under value, so do not sell finished flips to him (see the selling guide).
| Cash auction | Premium auction | |
|---|---|---|
| Paid with | In-game Cash | Premium Auction Keys |
| Where keys or Cash come from | Flipping cars, driving, jobs, codes | Codes, daily and weekly tasks, or Robux |
| Typical result | Mostly Cash or common cars; rare cars are possible | Reported best odds of a Tier 4 or Tier 5 |
| Main risk | Losing Cash you needed for the next flip | Spending Robux on a random result |
In an August video one player showed the worst cash-auction outcome at that time as $10,000 with roughly a 40% chance, and showed the game's own warning that auctions are not meant to be profitable and that you should only spend if you want a rare car. Odds have been adjusted since then, including a reported increase on October 3 for some cars that used to sit at about 0.01%, so check the odds panel in your own game before spending.
Where Premium Auction Keys come from
- Codes. Several codes have given keys, including DELAYMECHANICS, ANOTADELAY and KA-CHOW (two keys on camera). Check the codes page for what is live now.
- Daily and weekly tasks. Tasks were added in mid-August and pay Cash, sometimes cars, and keys. An August 24 video showed a weekly set worth five keys that included selling 100 vehicles, so treat weekly keys as a long-term reward.
- Robux. The Store sells keys directly, priced below.
| Pack | Price (Robux) | Robux per key |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Key | 99 | 99 |
| 3 Keys | 259 | about 86 |
| 10 Keys | 769 | about 77 |
| 20 Keys | 1,399 | about 70 |
| 50 Keys | 2,999 | about 60 |
The Store also lists an item simply called Auction for 79 Robux (an early-August video showed a similar Robux auction at 59, so prices move), plus gift versions of each key pack. Bigger packs cost less per key, but they also make it easier to spend more than you planned. Decide on a number before you open the Store.
Cars tied to auctions
Some cars appear only, or mostly, through auctions. The game uses fictionalised badges (for example a Porsche-style car badged Ferdinand), so community videos often use real-world names. The list below records what each update video reported; your in-game index is the final word on where a car can be obtained.
| Car (as reported) | How it was reported to be obtained | Reported on |
|---|---|---|
| GT3 RS-style car with Ferdinand badges | Auction-exclusive at launch; listed at about 2.5 million | August 16–18, 2026 |
| Testarossa-style car | Added to the auction list | August 16, 2026 |
| Corvette C7-style car | Junkyard plus cash and premium auctions | September 5, 2026 |
| Trackhawk-style SUV with supercharged Hemi V8 | Auctions (premium and cash) | September 5, 2026 |
| Huracán-style car (heard as Pegaso Tornado) | Premium auctions and Cars & Bids | October 3, 2026 |
| Mercedes CLK-style Tier 5 | Now auction-only | October 3, 2026 |
| Lexus LFA-style Tier 5 | Now auction-only | October 3, 2026 |
A creator raised a fair concern on October 2: there is no timer showing when an auction car leaves the pool. If you are chasing a specific car, assume it could rotate out with a future update and do not stockpile keys forever.
Cars & Bids: player-versus-player bidding (October 3 update)
The New Vehicles and Auction! update, which Oil Leak listed as a Roblox event from October 3 to 10, 2026, added Cars & Bids. It shows on the map at the luxury car dealership (Mr. Lupin's), where an NPC called Ginger runs it. The in-game description, read aloud in an update video, says you bid against other players to get vehicles before someone else does, and that bids start every hour.
- Drive to the luxury dealership and talk to Ginger, or watch chat: a new round is announced (for example "Rookie Bid starting now").
- Look at the car on offer before bidding. Unlike a random auction, you know what you are bidding on.
- Place a bid. Other players in the server can outbid you, so a busy server can turn into a bidding war.
- If you win, the game teleports you back to collect the car.
Rounds have tier names. Videos showed Rookie Bid and Amateur Bid, and the Store lists items with exactly those names for 29 and 79 Robux. What those items do is not described on the Store; one creator used a Robux option to skip the waiting timer. We have not confirmed whether higher rounds exist or which car tiers each round draws from, so do not assume Amateur means Tier 4 or higher.
A sensible auction budget
- Spend free keys from codes and tasks before any Robux.
- Keep enough Cash for your next junkyard car before opening a cash auction. A September session showed a player starting with about 5 million and burning through millions to land two Tier 5s; that is the scale of variance involved.
- If you win a car you do not want, restore and sell it properly instead of quick-selling to Rick.
- Stop after a fixed number of opens, win or lose.
For under-18 players, auctions that cost Robux are the part of the game where parents most often want spending limits. Our parents' guide explains the Roblox controls.
